Biography
Dr. Dina Amin is a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Texas A&M Health/Baylor Medical Center. She specializes in oral, head and neck oncology and microvascular reconstructive surgery. She graduated from King Abdulaziz University, which is the only internationally accredited dental school by Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). She completed a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Saudi Arabia, followed by fellowships in Craniofacial surgery, Head and Neck Oncology, and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Birmingham, US.
Dr. Amin joined the Emory Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2016 as the director of the OMS Ambulatory Clinic. In 2021, she was appointed as the associate chief of OMS service at Grady Memorial Hospital. Dr. Amin is accredited with introducing head and neck oncology, and microvascular reconstruction, utilizing computer-assisted surgery and computer-assisted navigation to complex craniomaxillofacial trauma and advanced head and neck reconstruction to the clinical services of Emory OMFS.
In 2022, Dr.Amin joined Texas A &M University School of Dentistry and Baylor Medical Center to start the Oral oncology and microvascular reconstruction endeavor. Her primary research evolved from her interest in craniomaxillofacial trauma and head and neck reconstruction as she is the PI of orbital trauma clinical trial. Dr. Amin has received intramural and international grants. In addition, she is the author of more than 20 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
