Message from the Alumni Association President
What a year it has been for all of us, including our dental, dental hygiene and graduate students. From canceling all conferences and events to closing our clinics and having our first virtual commencement; 2020 has definitely been a memorable year.
COVID-19 has altered almost every aspect of our lives. As we face new challenges, remember your Texas A&M College of Dentistry Alumni Association is here for you. The Alumni Association continues to be hard at work assisting the College in providing support for our students and creating opportunities for you and other alums to connect. As part of our continued efforts to stay engaged and in touch, we held a virtual Town Hall discussion with Dean Wolinsky, presented graduation memorabilia gifts to the Class of 2020, sent messages of congratulations to the graduates, and provided welcome gifts to our incoming dental hygiene and dental students. The Alumni Association remains active and consistent.
As we kick-off the 2020-2021 academic year, we need your help funding the ongoing services and programs we offer, which include but are not limited to: free online practice and job postings, class reunion assistance, Caruth School of Dental Hygiene Alumni recognition, white coat ceremony, graduation pins for the dental hygiene seniors, graduation/scholarship awards for dental and dental hygiene students, Teacher of the Year awards, and more. These activities are possible only with your continued generosity.
Please support us and give online! The Alumni Association funds are managed through Baylor Oral Health Foundation; go to http://www.bohf.org/ and click on the Donate Online button. Choose an amount (or type one in) and select the Alumni Association as your designation. Follow the rest of the steps to complete the process, and now you’re an Active Member! If you prefer to donate by check, payable to BOHF/Alumni Association Fund, and mail to Texas A&M College of Dentistry Alumni Association, 3302 Gaston Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75246, attention Melani Pippins.
As soon as we can safely gather in person, we look forward to hosting our traditional alumni events and welcoming you back on campus for homecoming.

Food, Friends and Fun
This year’s Homecoming theme, Honor the Past, Celebrating the Present and Building the Future, was reflected on the smiling faces of alumni as they joined in the celebration, reminiscing, sharing stories and creating memories.
This was the largest turnout for a 50th year dental class anniversary celebration. Congratulations to the Class of 1969. The weekend was filled with numerous activities from the Thursday morning Clinic and Education Building dedication to the fun-filled Friday evening reception, awards presentation, and campus tours. The weekend wrapped up with a Saturday CE course presented by one of our own, Dr. David Grogan. We could not have asked for a better turnout. A great time was had by all!
Thank you to those who joined us. We look forward to welcoming everyone “home” again next year.
