Dr. Hui Liang, a tenured professor at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry, is the Director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Advanced Education Program in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences. Joining the college in 1999, she has devoted many years to dental education, research, and administration, including as Radiation and Laser Safety Officer.
Dr. Liang earned her Bachelor of Medicine (DDS equivalent) in 1988 and Ph.D. in Prosthodontics in 1992 from Peking University School of Stomatology in Beijing, China. She completed her residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and earned an MS from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1998, becoming board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology in 1997.
Dr. Liang has received numerous accolades, including the “Distinguished Teaching Award” and “Baylor Faculty Award,” and held leadership roles such as Treasurer of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and Director of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.
A prolific author and journal reviewer, Dr. Liang is passionate about mentoring. Under her guidance, residents have won national awards. She finds her greatest fulfillment in preparing students for successful careers in oral and maxillofacial radiology.
