Dr. Tom Matthews

Dr. Tom Matthews helped found the Department of Orthodontics at College of Dentistry in 1961 along with his lifelong friend, Dr. Robert Gaylord. Dr. Matthews had a profound influence on all the graduates of the Department for almost 50 years.

The Department of Orthodontics recognized Dr. Matthews many contributions to orthodontic education by establishing the Dr. Tom Matthews Lectureship in 2007.
