Biography
Eliska Gauthier currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in both the Dental Hygiene Program and Pediatric Department at the Texas A&M College of Dentistry.
Professor Gauthier received her Bachelor of Nutritional Sciences Allied Health from Oklahoma State University, Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Texas Woman’s University, and Master of Business Administration from Texas Woman’s University.
She has more than 9 years of experience in clinical practice as a registered dental hygienist in private practice dentistry. She is a dental hygienist with a personable, caring personality and a love for life! She enjoys educating patients on the importance of oral health and seeing the difference it can make in their lives. Her involvement in mentorship is helping new graduates transition into the world of dental hygiene and enhancing their professional development. Areas of interest include leadership and advocating for diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in dental hygiene education.
Professor Gauthier is an active member of the American Dental Education Association, American Dental Hygienists’ Association, Texas Dental Hygienists’ Association, Association for Dental Safety, and Dental Hygiene Educators of Texas.
She currently serves as manager for the Special Care & Pediatric Clinic, and clinical faculty in Preclinical Dental Hygiene.
