Biography
Education and Post-Graduate Training
Jane Cotter is an Associate Professor in the Dental Hygiene Program at the Texas A&M College of Dentistry.
Ms. Cotter received her Associate in Dental Hygiene from University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School at Houston, a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Texas Woman’s University, and a Master of Science in Dental Hygiene Education from Texas A&M Health Science Center, Baylor College of Dentistry. Ms. Cotter is also a Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist.
She provides continuing education courses on Dental Oncology and Tobacco Cessation for registered dental hygienists. She is credited for being instrumental in establishing a dental clinic in the Charles A. Sammons Oncology Outpatient Clinic located on the Baylor University Medical Center campus in Dallas, Texas.
Ms. Cotter is currently the course director for Research Methods and Applied Research Methods. Additional teaching responsibilities are clinical teaching in Preclinical Dental Hygiene, and Clinical Dental Hygiene courses I-IV.
