Biography
Education and Post-Graduate Training
Dr. Karang Khalilkhani has attended a six-year program at Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran; where he received his Doctor of Dental surgery in 1996. After two years of private practice, he started his residency in Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran. He graduated from Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran in 2001 with a Certificate of Endodontics and Master in Neurophysiology. After graduating, Dr. Khalilkhani worked as a full-time assistant professor in Qazvin University of Medical Sciences in Qazvin, Iran for four years. He served as Research Assistant Dean of the school from 2003 to 2005.
In 2005, Dr. Khalilkhani started working as a full time clinician while teaching part-time. He moved to the U.S. in 2008 and attended Columbia University in New York, New York. He graduated from Columbia University in New York with his second Certificate of Endodontics in 2010. Subsequently, he has been practicing Endodontics in Dallas, Texas.
He has been teaching part-time at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry, Department of Endodontics since 2011. He is a board eligible candidate for the American Board of Endodontics and is currently pursuing his goal to become a Diplomat of the American Board of Endodontics.
Dr Khalilkhani is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Dallas County Dental Society and The Greater DFW Endodontic Society.
