Biography
Education and Post-Graduate Training
Dr. Suman Bathina received his Dental degree (BDS) from The Government Dental College & Hospital, Hyderabad, India in 2001. Upon graduation he moved to the Caribbean and practiced in Ocho Rios, Jamaica for 8 years. Dr. Bathina did his Endodontic Preceptorship at UCLA. He received his Certificate in Endodontics from University of Southern California College of Dentistry in 2013. He moved to Texas and has been practicing Endodontics in Rockwall and Greenville, Texas since 2013. He is a board eligible candidate for the American Board of Endodontics and is currently pursuing his goal to become a Diplomat of the American Board of Endodontics.
Dr. Bathina is a member of American Association of Endodontists (AAE), International Association of Dental Traumatology (IADT), International Association of Dental Research (IADR), American Dental Association (ADA), Texas Dental Association (TDA), North Texas Dental Society (NTDS), Rockwall Dental Society and The DFW Metroplex Endodontic Society.
He was involved in voluntary work providing free Endodontic care through Mobile Clinics and in Union Rescue Missions to Homeless people in need of dental care. He volunteered in conducting National Oral Health Survey programs in Jamaica and also a Dental Mission trip to Cambodia.
Dr. Bathina is married to Madeleine, who is also a USC graduate Dentist. They are blessed with a son. In his spare time Dr. Bathina along with his wife enjoy yoga, traveling and discovering new cultures and places
He believes in “To Teach is to Learn" and is very thankful for the opportunity to teach at Department of Endodontics Texas A & M University College of Dentistry. He has been a part of the team since 2015.
Dr. Bathina's journey since 2001 has been very humbling. This journey took him to different countries dealing with different cultures and clinical setups and helped him to improve both personally and professionally.
