Biography

Dr. Burdette’s career spans over 25 years. She knew since age 12 she wanted to be a dentist. Her
background is in public health dentistry, private practice, academia, managed care, administration,
and mobile dentistry. Her teaching interests include pediatric clinical dentistry, caries
prevention/early intervention, tobacco/vaping cessation, and community dentistry. Dr. Burdette also
works to increase awareness of the dental profession among young students. For fun, she enjoys
reading, traveling, watching movies and completing word search puzzles.
