Biography
Education and Post-Graduate Training
Chelsea Moorman currently serves as Clinical Faculty in the Dental Hygiene Program at the
Texas A&M College of Dentistry.
Professor Moorman received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Texas A&M
University, Baylor College of Dentistry.
She has more than 8 years of experience in clinical practice as a registered dental hygienist in private practice dentistry. In 2023, she was inducted as a fellow of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association for her commitment to continuing education and community service.
Professor Moorman is an active member of the American Dental Educator’s Association, American Dental Hygienists’ Association, Texas Dental Hygienists’ Association, Dallas Dental Hygienists’ Association, Association for Dental Safety, Dental Hygiene Educators of Texas, Association of Dental Safety, and Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene Honor Society-Beta Chapter.
She currently serves as clinical faculty in Preclinical Dental Hygiene, Clinical Dental Hygiene courses I-IV and as the lead clinical dental hygiene faculty on the Special Care Dentistry Clinic rotation. Additional teaching responsibilities include being a research mentor for dental hygiene seniors in Applied Research Methods and acting as co-advisor for the Student Chapter of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association. She is also currently appointed as Adjunct Clinical Faculty in the Dental Hygiene Department at Dallas College.
