Biography

Dr. David Schwitzer is a Board-Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon specializing in Maxillofacial Oncology and Reconstructive surgery. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Emory University, followed by his dental degree from The University of Michigan School of Dentistry, and his medical degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Dr. Schwitzer completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Memorial Hospital and went on to pursue advanced training through a Fellowship, in Maxillofacial Oncology and Reconstructive Surgery, at John Peter Smith Health Network.

Dr. Schwitzer has contributed significantly to academic research, with nine published articles and a textbook chapter. His clinical expertise lies in treating complex cases involving head and neck pathology, reconstructive surgery, and cancer-related defects. He is known for his compassionate approach, precision in surgical care, and commitment to restoring both function and aesthetics for his patients.
