Texas A&M College of Dentistry is located a few blocks east of downtown Dallas and steps away from the historic Deep Ellum entertainment and arts district. Dallas is a busy city boasting numerous museums, galleries and theaters in addition to professional sports teams, fine dining, upscale shopping and a bustling night life.
According to our recent survey the current students at the College of Dentistry live in a wide range of areas throughout the metroplex including Mesquite, Garland, Richardson, Arlington, Lewisville, and Plano. 60% of students report living in apartments, 34% in a house, 3% in a duplex and 3% in the nursing dorm. Most students report paying rent of at least $700 per month (53%), 16% report $600-$699, 12% report $500-$599, 8% report $400-$499, and 11% pay less than $400.
Dallas is centrally located and within a four-hour flight from most North American destinations. DFW International Airport is the world’s third busiest airport, offering nearly 1,800 flights per day and providing non-stop service to 134 domestic and 37 international destinations worldwide. In addition, Dallas Love Field Airport is conveniently located 10 minutes from downtown.

Transportation in the Metroplex
Resident students can ride one of the fastest-growing light rail systems in the nation or the historic, free McKinney Avenue Trolley from the Dallas Arts District throughout the Uptown area with its restaurants, pubs, boutique hotels and shops.

Throughout the city, students can enjoy the best shopping in the Southwest, four-and five-diamond/star hotels and restaurants, the largest urban arts district in the nation, 13 entertainment districts and much more.
